Throughout your life, you've probably been told to follow The Golden Rule--Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.  Relationship Strategies teaches you to follow the Platinum Rule--Do unto others as they want to be done unto. Depending on a person's behavioral style, he or she may not want to be treated the way you do.  By being behavior specific and understanding how others want to be treated, you can increase your communication effectiveness.

Today there are over 100 different terms used to describe these four dominant styles.  The following styles are represented in this program:

• The Dove: Relationship-Oriented
• The Owl: Detail-Oriented
• The Eagle: Results-Oriented
• The Peacock: Socially-Oriented

Scientific research on behavior styles shows us that people communicate, think and behave predictably different.  Understanding how one communicates can affect your ability to create a successful relationship.

Part 1 (20 minutes), Understand and Identify, focuses on the four styles Dove, Owl, Eagle, and Peacock, and how they differ.  It teaches viewers how to identify their own styles and the styles of others. 

Part Two (18 minutes), Adapt, shows the viewers how each style wants to be treated in normal and stressful situations.
